Mediation Case Assessment
Synergy Dispute Resolutions will educate individuals and businesses about the mediation process, screen a potential case to determine if mediation is appropriate under the circumstances and assist individuals and businesses in finding an appropriate mediator should they elect to mediate a case.

Convening and Contracting
Oftentimes, one party involved in a dispute may wish to mediate but has not yet received agreement from the other parties involved in the dispute.  Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers “convening” services such as calling or writing the other parties and/or their attorneys  to educate them about the benefits of mediating the dispute at issue and mediating the selection of a mediator, the venue, the dates of the session, the format and the allocation of payment.

Session-by-Session Mediation
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers session-by-session mediation providing its clients with the opportunity to pay for smaller sessions and determine whether continuing with additional sessions is worthwhile from their perspective.

Mediating Discovery Disputes
Synergy Dispute Resolutions can help curtail the unproductive and costly discovery process by mediating pre-trial disputes including, but not limited to:

Arranging for limited but balanced initial document production

Mediating consequences for failing to produce discovery, which can replace fines or sanctions

Reviewing discovery responses and mediating claims relating to insufficiency, burdensomeness, etc.

Observing depositions and/or being on call to mediate objections

Coordinating the Use of Experts
Synergy Dispute Resolutions can help parties identify qualified and neutral experts, mediate a mutually agreed upon scope of work, work with the parties and their experts to reduce work and expedite results.

Mediate an Entire Dispute
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers traditional mediation services through the use of an impartial mediator, who will identify the issues of both parties, reduce obstacles to communication and maximize the exploration of alternatives to litigation.

Binding Mediation
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers binding mediation services through the use of a neutral who will first attempt to assist the parties in resolving their dispute themselves and, if unsuccessful, will render a binding case evaluation based upon information disclosed during mediation.

Med-Arb
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers a combination mediation-arbitration service, known as Med-Arb, through the use of a neutral who will first attempt to assist the parties in resolving their dispute themselves and, if unsuccessful, will conduct an evidentiary arbitration hearing and render a binding award.

Arbitration (not available on-line)
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers traditional arbitration services through the use of an impartial arbitrator who will make a decision based upon the evidence presented and the applicable law.

High-Low Arbitration (Also Known As Bracket Arbitration)
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers a variation of traditional arbitration wherein the parties agree prior to the commencement of arbitration to a maximum and minimum award, typically plaintiff’s last settlement demand and defendant’s last offer (which is not disclosed to the arbitrator) and, assuming the arbitrator determines that the defendant is liable, the arbitrator renders an award.  Neither party will be liable for a figure outside the agreed-upon high-low (or “bracket”). 

Arb-Med
Synergy Dispute Resolutions offers a combination arbitration-mediation service, known as Arb-Med, through the use of a neutral who will first conduct an evidentiary arbitration hearing, however, the arbitration award will only be disclosed where a post-hearing mediated result is not achieved.
